Liquid Death Slaying Beauty With e.l.f & Aprés Nail

Non-alcoholic beverage company Liquid Death is continuing its push into beauty, teaming up with Aprés Nail and e.l.f. Cosmetics on irreverent, limited-edition launches that lean hard into the brand’s “Murder Your Thirst” ethos.

Available this month, the collaborations include press-on nails and lip balms designed to appeal to beauty fans with dark humor and goth sensibilities.

The first, a true-crime-inspired kit called “Accessory to Murder: Where Killer Nails Are the Ultimate Crime,” marks a milestone for Aprés Nail as its first-ever press-on nail collection. The drop goes live Jan. 21 at apresnail.com, accompanied by an L.A. launch party hosted by true-crime YouTuber Bailey Sarian.

The latter release, “e.l.f. x Liquid Death Lip Embalms,” is the second partnership between the two brands. The six-piece set comes housed in a coffin-esque “lip crypt vault” and features flavors inspired by Liquid Death’s still and sparkling waters: Severed Lime, Killer Cola, Sweet Reaper, Mountain Water, Rest In Peach, and Doctor Death.

The “Accessory to Murder” kit came together after Aprés Nail approached Liquid Death about a partnership, says Mischa Brunelli, Liquid Death’s VP of Apparel.

“Aprés makes premium products, and they came to us wanting to launch their first press-on collection around the idea of ‘killer nails,’” Brunelli says. “It’s a fun way to bring true-crime obsession into beauty.”

The collection features Aprés Nail’s patented soft-gel extension technology, best known from its cult-favorite Gel-X system. The kit includes two chainsaw-shaped boxes filled with press-on nails in the styles “Almonds of Death” and “Coffin Break,” each offering four medium-length colorways across 16 sizes.

Also included: a Liquid Death-branded omni light, Extend Gel Non-Wipe soak-off gel, “evidence folders” with stick-on nail decals, alcohol pads, a nail file, and a can-opening tool designed for long nails.

Liquid Death has been steadily collaborating with beauty and grooming brands since 2024, when it first partnered with e.l.f. on the makeup kit “Corpse Paint.” Other tie-ins include “Severed Head Pomade” with Dutch men’s grooming brand Reuzel and, in 2025, a trio of sheet face masks with clean skincare brand ESW Beauty inspired by drink flavors Severed Lime, Mountain Water, and Mango Chainsaw.

To promote the latest drop, e.l.f. has also introduced a Liquid Death-themed obstacle course within its e.l.f. UP! community on the gaming platform Roblox, where players can navigate multi-level challenges named after the brand’s beverages.
