Show Goes On at Ulta Beauty World 2026 After Expo Fire

An early-morning fire in the expo hall at Ulta Beauty World 2026 in Orlando had little effect on the event opening later that day, officials with the Orange County Convention Center say.

At 3:10 a.m. on April 15, hours before the 2-day event launched, a fire broke out in a booth in exhibition hall E2 of the venue’s West Building, says convention center spokeswoman Katarina Dos Santos.

“Orange County Fire Rescue responded and the fire was contained to the area of origin,” she says. “Impacts have been limited to the immediate area within the exhibit hall.”  The official cause was still under investigation and there were no reported injuries, she says.

The incident didn’t appear to affect the first day of the sold-out event, which included Masterclass learning sessions led by Jonathan Van Ness, Tina Knowles, Anastasia Soare, and other big names in beauty. The expo hall wasn’t scheduled to open to the public until the following day.

As participants flooded the West Concourse on Wednesday, convention center officials were working with Ulta Beauty World organizers to assess the damage and restore the exhibition hall for the following day’s Expo.

Ulta Beauty officials say the 2-day event drew about 3,000 participants to attend expert panels and visit the booths of more than 200 exhibitors.
