The Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is again recognizing nail artists with the return of the Nail Professional of the Year category in the North American Hairstyling Awards (NAHA) 2027 competition.

Reintroduced for the first time since 2020, the category shines a spotlight on the artistry, technical skill, and innovation of nail professionals. It will honor collections that demonstrate excellence across salon-style nails, nail enhancements, and avant-garde nail art, recognizing the versatility and craftsmanship that define the profession.

Alongside the nail category's revival, NAHA has also unveiled a refreshed logo designed to better represent the range of artists recognized through the awards program, including professionals in hair, barbering, makeup, and nails.

"Every year, PBA NAHA reminds us that creativity is one of the most powerful forces shaping our industry," says the organization’s CEO, Leslie Perry. "These artists don't just create beautiful work. They challenge techniques, influence trends, and inspire what's possible for the profession."

With entries now officially open for the 2027 competition, licensed beauty professionals are invited to submit collections that showcase their creative vision and technical expertise across PBA NAHA's award categories.
