K18 & GlamBot Team Up in NYC to Capture Hair Flips for Charity

Yes, a hair flip can make a difference.

The cancer support nonprofit HairToStay collected a cool $100K from K18 and GlamBOT, who teamed up to transform Grand Central Station into a chaotic-good beauty pop-up.

The occasion: a Hair Flip Challenge that turned commuters, creators, and beauty obsessives into bona fide main characters for a cause.

Helmed by GlamBOT director/ red carpet slo-mo wizard Cole Walliser, the activation invited the public to help set a Guinness World Record for the most hair-flip videos posted to TikTok and Instagram in 24 hours.

Participants got a legit A-list experience in voguing for GlamBOT, the high-speed robotic camera arm that captures dramatic, cinematic moments in crisp HD at the Oscars, Grammys, and other awards season biggies.

For every hair-flip video posted, K18 pledged $20 to HairToStay, which helps low-income cancer patients afford scalp-cooling treatments that can reduce chemotherapy-related hair loss.

By the end of the day, the official hashtag #HairFlipK18 racked up nearly 2 million impressions, while K18 added another feel-good flex by handing out 5,000 samples of its cult-favorite Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask.
