Celebrity hairstylist Bobby Michael used R+Co BLEU products at New York Fashion Week to create the hair looks for the Wiederhoeft show presenting the designer's Spring/ Summer 2027 collection, Queens.
“The inspiration for the hair is intergalactic ‘90s supermodel. Fluffy and touchable hair that makes everyone feel sexy and glamorous,” Michael says.
Exaggerated volume, sweeping movement and high shine defined the look. Hair was shaped and set, then flipped and shaken out to release the polished shape into something full-bodied, airy, and designed to move.
Here's a breakdown of how Michael created the looks.
Step by Step
- To prep the hair, use Highest Volumizing Mousse or Root Booster Volume Spray from roots through mid-lengths to build weightless fullness, lift, and body.
- Mist Essential Hair Tonic through the ends for flexibility, light hold, and shine.
- Rough-dry the hair with your hands to encourage natural volume and movement.
- Depending on hair texture, use a round brush and Velcro rollers or an iron with Velcro rollers to create shape and flow.
- Allow the hair to set until fully cooled. Once released, flip and shake out the hair to release the set and create airy movement.
- Spray with Ultra Dry Texture Spray for added volume.
- Finish with Optical Illusion Smoothing Oil to smooth flyaways, add separation and high-gloss shine, followed by Cult Classic Flexible Hairspray for touchable hold.
