Mega-influencer and entrepreneur Devon Lee Carlson has swapped her trademark raven locks for a beachy blonde, and the creamy, luminous look is already making a case for "2000s Blonde" as one of the season's standout hair color directions.
Celebrity colorist Jacob Schwartz, Schwarzkopf Professional's U.S. Hair Color Trend Ambassador, used the brand's products for the look he's dubbed "2000s Blonde." It puts a fresh spin on blonde with bright lengths, a diffused root, and subtle tonal variation throughout.
"We wanted to lean into that iconic early-2000s blonde," he says. " Super bright, bold, and high-impact, but still modern."
Rather than feeling overly platinum or uniform, the color has a natural richness that keeps the overall look polished and dimensional. The deeper root creates depth and contrast, while the brighter mid-lengths and ends bring a reflective, sunlit quality to the overall look.
Schwartz began with a customized IGORA Royal smudge, tailoring the formulas across the hairline, base, and ends to establish a seamless foundation.
He then used Vario Super Blond Plus to selectively lift the lengths and ends. Before the final gloss, he added a subtle fill through the roots and mids with IGORA Vibrance, followed by a customized root gloss to refine the tone and connect the deeper base with the lighter pieces.
The finished result is a creamy, radiant blonde with natural depth, movement, and a high-shine finish.
