For beauty influencers, there’s a big difference between recommending a product and helping create one. Certified trichologist and TikTok star Abbey Yung has entered that territory with Pantene, launching Abbey Yung x Pantene Cream to Mist.

Yung, the hair-care influencer behind the viral Abbey Yung Method, worked with Pantene to develop the leave-in conditioning spray based on feedback Yung was getting from her audience, the hair-care giant says.

According to Pantene, consumers wanted the convenience and even application of a spray, but felt that water-based leave-ins lack the richer nourishment they were looking for.

Yung was involved in Cream to Mist from product concept through formulation. The resulting format combines Pantene’s Pro-Vitamin B5, Peptide-C, and moisture-barrier ingredients, promising lasting conditioning, detangling, and heat protection up to 450°F.

“Abbey brings together professional expertise and a clear understanding of what people need from their hair care routine,” says Pantene Principal Scientist Dr. Jeni Thomas.

Yung gained viral fame with her Abbey Yung Method, an 11-step framework focusing on scalp health, damage repair, and customized cleansing, largely using budget-friendly products.

Her collaborations have included Pantene and OGX, with the latter working with her on the 3-product “Abbey Yung Favorites” set.

Pantene has established Yung as part of a wider social-first strategy, which has included partnerships with micro and macro influencers including Alix Earle and Kelsea Ballerini.
