Dyson's Beauty & Farming Branches Collab in Strawberry Hot Tools

Two disparate branches of the Dyson family tree — sustainable farming and hair tools — have collaborated in a limited-edition set of hot tools in two rosy shades inspired by the strawberries grown in the manufacturing giant's UK greenhouses.

The "Strawberry Bronze" and "Blush Pink" shades are available for the brand's best-selling Supersonic Nural hair dryer, Airwrap multi-styler, Airstrait straightener, and Corrale styler straightener.

The tools were released in time for the 2024 holidays, though sales will likely surge in advance of Valentine's Day.

Dyson, which manufactures technology for sustainable agriculture, produces 1,250 tons of strawberries year-round in its 15-acre glasshouse facility in the British countryside.

To choose the shades for its special-edition hair tools, the Dyson team visited the brand's farm sites in Carrington, Lincolnshire to examine the strawberries grown there using anaerobic digestion-generated power.

The two pigments were the result of this exploration. From a single strawberry came a magnitude of hues, brought together to create a complex shade of pink tinged with hints of red, peach, and orange.

Taking further inspiration from nature, the hints of blue on the buttons are a nod toward uncut sapphires, giving contrast to the pink.
