To get Jennifer Garner ready for her presenting gig at the 2026 Golden Globes, celebrity colorist Tracey Cunningham and red-carpet stylist Adir Abergel gave the actress a sun-kissed, dimensional brunette hue and a "Millennial side swoop" that played up the shine of her new haircolor.
Garner presented the first award of the evening in a black tiered Cong Tri gown adorned with thousands of crystals. It was the actress' first appearance at the Golden Globes in 13 years.
Cunningham, the Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Creative Director of Color and Technique, used the brand’s products to give Garner a color refresh she called "Golden Walnut."
She crafted the rich base and strategically placed highlights with:
- BLONDME Premium Lightener 9+ with 30-volume
- Igora Vibrance
- Base: 9-00 + 8-1 + 7-00 + 6-1 (with 13-volume for 20 minutes)
- Zone 2: 9-0
- All-Over Gloss: 9-7 + 0-55 (equal parts for 1 minute)
Abergel shared his step-by-steps for Garner's side-parted glam waves using Virtue Labs products and Denman brushes:
- Apply Strength & Shield Leave-in Conditioner and brush through to evenly distribute product.
- Apply Volumizing Primer at the roots. Rough-dry hair on medium heat to 80 percent, for body and to remove excess moisture.
- Create a deep side part and section off the hair. Using a 9 Row Original Styling Brush, over-direct sections at the roots while blow-drying to create volume. Smooth the lengths until hair looks shiny and full.
- Use a 1-inch curling iron to create loose curls, and clip each curl in place to let it cool. When ready, remove clips and gently brush through with a Style and Shine Brush.
- Apply Healing Oil to the ends. Finish the look with with one side cascading freely and the other tucked neatly behind the ear.
